Halbergs visit & the House

Madelyn was on Spring Break this week, so the Halbergs came down a few days to visit. The kiddos had such a fun time playing together. We were hoping to go to the zoo one day, but the weather would not cooperate. So I looked for a fun indoor activity. It just so happen that Disney on Ice was in town. This is one of the perks of living in the city, always something going on. The show was really fun. I had a little trouble getting my camera adjusted to the lighting, so the pictures may not be too clear.

Another terrific thing has happened. Our house in under contract! We accepted an offer on our house last week. We have now made it past the 7 day option period, so we are feeling pretty good about things. We will close the middle of April. The sisters that will be moving in are currently renting an apartment and thier lease is not up until July. They are allowing us to live here rent free until June 12. Yeah! God is good.

Bubbles

Hadley loves bubbles. While we were in WR, she had played with Taylor's bubbles and just had the most fun. So we had to get some once we got back in town. So her she is having a bubbling good time.

Okay, this has nothing to do with bubbles. I just had to get a picture of our neighbor's trees. They are so beautiful. That is Brent & Hadley near the road. We have a pair of ducks that have started calling our block thier home.

Pink Poodle Party and a little tumor

After we returned from Arkansas, we had a birthday party to attend back in FW. A little girl in Hadley's class at school (& church) just turned 3. I just happened to still have my camera in my purse so I got some cute pictures. The theme was a pink poodles. The Mom and Grandma had made cute little poodle ears for all the girls. It was too cute!

So about that tumor. My shoulder has been hurting for months, maybe a year. Anyway, I finally got tired of it and decided to go to a Dr. to see what was wrong. After several x-rays, it was determined that one leg was longer than the other, causing a curved spine, and stressed shoulder muscles. Fine, so she has be wearing a lift in my shoe to help. Then when we were in WR, I went to get a massage. Then Ms. Blackwell says, do you know you have this tumor on your shoulder? What the**? So this was why that knot in my shoulder would not go away. Long story short, I had the little guy cut out on Friday. It was about the size of a large walnut, just a fatty tumor that was pressing against my muscle and had begun to penetrate the muscle. I'm hoping that my little buddy is now gone, so will the muscle pain.

Partying with the Forrester bunch

While we were in Arkansas, we spend a little time in Lawrence County. We celebrated Taylor & Jackson's birthdays. Hadley really enjoyed Taylor's new set of wheels. She has informed Nana & Pop Pop that she too would like a red mustang when she turns three. I know, they are 3 going on 16. Born to be wild!

A little guitar hero with Jackson. Jenn on the drums. The guitar was much harder than the drums. Jackson is having to concentrate really hard on the drums to save me from being booed off the stage.

Happy 60th Birtday PaPa

We spent our Spring Break in Arkansas visiting family. While we were there, we celebrated Dewey's 60th birthday. Hadley had a great time playing with her cousins, Will & Madelyn. Will & Hadley stuck in the tunnel.

TCU Baseball

A few Sundays ago, we went to see our first TCU baseball game. It was family day at the park so we caught us a few $1 hotdogs for lunch after church. Being new to this area, we were not accustomed to the really warm weather for a baseball game in early March. We wore jeans and took jackets. Yeah, that was a mistake. We needed shorts, flip-flops, and sunscreen. Yeah, we all got a little too much sun (especially me). We only stayed for a few innings; it was too hot (and it was nap time). Hadley throwing a strike!

Imagination Movers

One of Hadley's favorite TV shows is the Imagination Movers. For those of you that are not familiar with them, the are four guys from New Orleans who sing, dance, and solve problems. Pretty fun show. Anyway, I saw that they were coming to town and knew that Hadley would love to see them. They were playing at Bass Hall, on of the world's finest opera houses. I've been wanting to go to Bass Hall to see a show, so this fulfilled my request before we leave Ft. Worth. So here are some pictures from our girls day rocking with the Movers!

The Girls

Here is the show getting started. I must warn you, it is a little loud, so turn down your speakers.

Yes, this is Hadley during the show. Towards the end, I guess she needed to write something down. She got in my purse and grabbed her notepad and pen. I love the next photo. She was still watching the show, while she was writing. She wasn't missing anything, just multitasking.

After the show, I asked Hadley what she thought. She said it was fun and loud, then she seemed a little sad. Apparently, she thought that the Movers were coming to town to play with her. I guess I didn't make it clear that we were going to see them perform, and not hang out and play. All in all, she had a blast. Seeing her smiling, clapping, and dancing was priceless for me.
